The study provides a description of the historical development of artificial intelligence, its basic principles and integration into software for sound production and editing. It captures the issue of artificial intelligence creativity as a key factor in music production and post-production work. It clarifies the fundamental functions of artificial intelligence in software designed for the post-production of music recordings. I describe the analysis of the input data of software using artificial intelligence for sound editing and their expected software processing. Due to the commercial purpose of these softwares, the data on the internal processes of the softwares represent the protected know-how of commercial companies and are not available to the public. The study presents the selected company and post-production programs (iZotope, LANDR, CloudBounce, Flow Machines, Gullfoss, COSMOS), music-production programs (Amper Music, Magenta, AIVA Technologies, Watson Beat, Melodrive, Brain.FM, ORB Composer, MuseNet, Humtap ) and other programs (Spotify, Shazam, AWS DeepComposer).
